Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, March, 2008, West Palm Beach, Florida
Sale price: $10,000
"The Viking Warrior" is built by El Paso, Texas engineer and dune buggy builder Jim "The Arizona Wizard" Cabral. He spent years thinking about and over 10 months actually building this Hartley High Rider prototype. This is the first car of its kind in the world and is very exciting to drive. It was inspected and approved by the Texas DOT who issued the serial number and title. This car has 180hp and works as well in the dunes as it does on the street. During testing, I had this car at 70 mph on I-10 and it was very stable and not at all scary. It is truly a treat to drive both on and off the road. Every part on the car was carefully selected by "The Wizard" and it has excellence in its character. As a prototype the value of this particular car can only go up.
