1957 Cadillac Series 62 Boyd Coddington Custom Auction Sale Price: $110,000 Barrett-Jackson Car Auction, Scottsdale, AZ, January, 2010, Lot Number: 1351.1 A 1957 Cadillac custom built by the world famous Boyd Coddington Garage on the TLC network TV series "American Hot Rod". The car was built in conjunction with Hershey's Chocolate for Reese's in a Collector's Edition flavor inspired by the king, Elvis Presley, for his love of peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The flavor released was a peanut butter and banana creme candy. The promotion was the largest in Reese's history. The car is a full custom, hand built 1957 Cadillac with a 540cid/650hp big block Chevrolet engine, Turbo 400 transmission, 9" Ford rear, throttle body electronic Fuel Injection, one-off Boyd Coddington wheels and steering wheel, custom candy cooler mounted in trunk, Gabe Lopez custom leather interior, power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, Vintage Air conditioning and heat, remote access for windows and doors, custom dash and gauges, full audio system, DVD player, iPod link, CD player, AM/FM, Sirius satellite radio, flush-mounted bumpers, shaved moldings and other body mods. The car has only 60 miles on it since completion and is exceptional in every way. Documentation goes with the car to the new owner. It drives and operates as it should. Is show ready and would make a fine addition to any car collection. Included in the sale is one case of the Limited Edition candy.

Custom 1957 Chevy Bel Air Chubster by Boyd Coddington Price $127,000.00 This 1957 Boyd Coddington-built Bel Air is one-of-a-kind. In 1957, Charles Francis and Charles "Chub" O'Reilly founded O'Reilly Auto Parts. As part of its 50th Anniversary celebration, Boyd Coddington was commissioned to build a unique commemorative classic. In true Boyd style, he created a Special Edition '57 Chevy Bel Air and named it the "Chubster". It is built on a custom Art Morrison frame with Jerry Kugel front and rear independent suspension. It is powered by a GM Performance all aluminum LS2 crate engine that puts out 440hp at the rear tires. It is backed up by a Toy Shop TH400 transmission. Rolling on a set of one-off Coddington wheels and Goodyear Eagle tires. Paint is DuPont Hot Hues Chromasystem custom mixed by Boyd himself. He called it Chubster Red. Custom interior by Gabe Lopez. Ron Frances wiring, custom white face gauges with "Chubster" engraved on them, Flaming River tilt steering with column shift, Vintage Air with defrost, power windows with power vent glass. Comes with a 1 of 5 Team Killeen build book. Boyd Coddington was one of the greatest American Hot Rod builders ever. This is one of the last cars he ever built.
