Ashley Laminates was founded in 1955 by Peter Pellandine and Keith Waddington. They designed and built their first car using GRP for the bodyshell. The two set up a small factory in Loughton, Essex and manufactured body shells and chassis for special cars from 1955 to 1962. They also offered a range of products for other automobile manufacturers including hardtops for Austin-Healey and the Jaguar E-Type.
