It is finished in twotone cream and black and is highlighted with orange wire wheels, whitewall tires, a tan leather interior and a black convertible top. While this example is the subject of an older restoration the convertible coupe remains in presentable condition today. The paintwork and brightwork show some signs of age, however, the vendor reports the Cadillac has recently undergone a thorough detailing making it even more cosmetically presentable. The Cadillac’s engine and bay are tidy though showing signs of use. This Cadillac is complete with a host of accessories and amenities including dual side mounted spares with dual mirrors, windshield wipers, turning spot lamp, grille guard and the highly desirable metal trunk. Overall, this is a highly presentable car that will make for a great starter classic and enjoyable driver. 1931 Cadillac Model 355 A Victoria Coupe | 1931 Cadillac Model 355 A Victoria Coupe 36,000.00 USD 1931 Cadillac Model 355 A Victoria Coupe 36,000 LotNumber 1532 Exterior Color BROWN/BLACK Interior Color TAN 353cid/95hp V8 with a 3-speed transmission. Mostly an original car including the factory paint. This is a 1931 Cadillac Fisher-bodied five-passenger RS coupe, Model 355 A, sometimes referred to as a Victoria Coupe. It rides on a 134-inch wheel base and weighs 4,500 pounds. The car was sold new for $2,795.00 (factory). It was ordered from the factory with the rare options of dual side mounts, truck rack, and a Philco radio. It's powered by its original 95HP 353 C.I. flathead V-8 engine. This car is almost original, including the factory paint. The interior was re-upholstered in the 1990's using original broad cloth material and patterns. This car was in the inventory of Russ and Nelly Jackson's "Classic Carriage House" Collection. Russ, the matriarch of the Jackson family, was one of the original partners of Barrett-Jackson Auction here in Scottsdale. The car sat for years after Mr. Jackson's death and was finally sold here, at Barrett-Jackson, in January 1999 to a lady from Portland, Oregon. She sold it to an Oregon Region CCCA member in early 2004, and I purchased it in November 2004. This "full classic," as defined by Classic Car Club of America (CCCA), can and should be judged in an original preservation class, as with the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA). It is the opinion of many collector's that these cars are only original once and, after 76 years, should remain as original as possible!
