Powered by an inline-six cylinder engine and outfitted with front disc brakes and a single pivot independent rear suspension the 230 SL is capable of 125 mph. (not that we ever suggest exceeding the posted speed limit : ) This 230 SL is a third generation Super Leicht, meaning Super Light. She is not only a fast car but a safe car with the use of deformation zones located in the front and the rear (a Steel unibody with auxiliary front frame). This roadster even has a collapsible hood.
