The Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 sports convertible was the final variation of a long line of Big Healey sports cars starting with the 100-4 model of 1953. The MKIII was produced from 1964 to 1967 and was arguably the fastest, most comfortable and nicest riding model of all Healeys. This is evident in the market today as this model commands the highest price of the production cars and exceptionally restored examples are very much sought after. Recently purchased as an excellent, straight restoration candidate, this late Grand-Touring Big Healey has just completed a no-expense-spared, ground-up, nut and bolt, body-off, 100-point, rotisserie restoration by premier marque specialist, Kurt Tanner Restorations. All work and detailing has been carried out to the highest Austin-Healey Gold Concours standards. Finished in the rare and spectacular factory color scheme of Metallic Golden Beige with red trim, this 3000 MKIII also boast chrome/stainless 60-spoke wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering wheel, 4-speed overdrive transmission, BMIHT Certificate and a photo album documenting the complete, professional rebuild.
