This 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Liter is the most desirable of all the models. It retains the pure styling of the original 1961 model, but has the improved syncromesh transmission, 4.2 Liter engine and more comfortable interior that was introduced in 1965. I've owned this car since 1982. Purchased from its second owner in NY with 41,000 original miles. The car had never seen Winter or salt, and was in very nice un-restored condition. I drove it only on sunny Summer days until 1987, when the car was stripped to bare metal and repainted in the original Opalescent Silver Blue. A new canvas top was installed in the original dark blue color and new carpets were added. Since then, the car has been driven primarily to shows and club events. The odometer now reads 52,500 original miles. This E-Type has had meticulous mechanical maintenance during the 26 years I've owned it. Rebuilt cooling system, braking system, clutch, steering rack and suspension. The car drives beautifully. The engine is powerful and never overheats. Included is the Build Sheet from the Jaguar factory in England, showing that this car has all matching numbers and authentic colors. During the restoration, every effort was made to keep the car as close to original as possible.
