1948 AUSTIN A40 DEVON
Features... Have Original Manuals. Restoration... Restored: 3 yrs ago partly. New paint, new upholstering, electric fuel pump installed not working properly, front bumper removed, brackets re-welded, bumper still off car needs rechroming. Upholstering not completed over trafficators. Trafficators removed not complete. Trim on left inside windscreen missing. Also missing 1 inside door handle, 1 window crank, 1 hub cap. Drives side window cracked. Some rust. Exterior... Paint job not very good, trim not removed, rubber around windows original need some repair. Slight scratches. Interior... All knobs original except choke one, the cardboard over trafficators not attached, used nails. All panels there and in good condition, carpet old and needs to be replaced, some rust under carpet, nothing all the way through. Seats good, and dashboard clean. Mechanical... Engine is A40 out of a 1952 Summerset I believe, number on engine indicates that. Tranny solid and tight, drive train original and no metal to metal sound when twisted, seems good. Suspension tight - very good. Notes... Sun roof works okay, I get no spark but have good compression on #1 and 4 150 psi, low on 2 and 3 about 30-50 psi, may be due to no oil up cylinder from sitting so long.
