1959 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER CLOUD SALOON
1959 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud Saloon. Restored. Interior in very good shape. Front upholstery shows wear. All wood dash and trim perfect. The Silver Cloud is one of the most recognized shapes in automotive history. It is the car many think of when they think of Rolls-Royce. Introduced in 1955, the Silver Clouds were built in three series and remained in production until 1965. 1959 was the final year for the first series Cloud, and more significantly the last year that Rolls-Royce motorcars were powered by the company's venerable six cylinder engine. In its penultimate form, as used in the Bentley Continentals and the very last Clouds, it displaced 4.9L. On the inside, the Silver Cloud exudes elegance with its liberal use of Connolly hides and Burl Walnut. This example received an extensive full body restoration in 1992-3 and has absolutely no rust remaining. It was repainted in Sand over Burgundy within the last 5 years. The wood was also removed stripped and refinished. It runs beautifully and has just been fitted with a completely overhauled transmission. Please email Carol@classiccarguy.com
