Simply Superb. The Lagonda is a unique blend of the best in luxury car comfort with sports-car road manners and performance. This is no motor car for ordinary mortals. It's sleek elegant lines attract stares like no other. A steel monocoque forms the basis of the load bearing structure and is clad with aluminum panels: linen tape is trapped between the two, preventing any electrolytically induced corrosion.
Front suspension is by coil springs located by unequal length wishbones and dampened with co-axial telescopic shock absorbers; the king pins are ball jointed. At the rear is an uprated version of the DeDion arrangement used for the sports cars which is located by trailing parallel arms and a Watts linkage; coil springs are used and damping is by self leveling telescopic shock absorbers. The 15" steel wheels are shod with 235/70 HR Avon Turbosteel tires. The engine is an all alloy 90 degree V-8 with four cam shafts and is equipped with 4 Webber 42 DNCF carburetors and Lucas electronic ignition. Inside the Lagonda is staggeringly opulent, the Connoly blue leather and matching Wilton carpeting contrast beautifully with the black leather dash and walnut veneer trim.
