1965 Corvette 396/425 Coupe For Sale
With only 36,702 ACTUAL miles, this big block 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe was the lucky recipient of a one year, no expense spared restoration by an accomplished and experienced NCRS restorer. Let's take a peek at the original trim tag, with its original rivets in place and see what we've got here: Trim 421AA tell us that this 1965 Corvette was manufactured with a Saddle leather interior, and Paint 900GG tells us the Corvette left Bowling Green with a nice shade of Glen Green. This is a complete numbers matching, investment grade Corvette. Present is the code 692 webbed 396, 425 HP engine (one year only), not to mention the correct heads, intake manifolds, carburetor and exhaust manifolds (one year only parts #101 & #102). Present is a Dewitts correct reproduction aluminum radiator, and, of course, the one year only left side battery! You will also notice the full and correct date coded transistorized ignition, correct Quanta belts and braided hoses, a correct 696 transistor alternator and a 403 bell-housing. Also present are the original Muncie M21 4 speed transmission and original 12 bolt axle with a 3.55 positraction gear set. Both the engine and transmission were completely disassembled and professionally rebuilt & restored during the restoration process. Mechanically, this Corvette is fresh and ready to go, with a new fuel tank, new fuel lines and a completely rebuilt braking system, including rebuilt calipers & master cylinder, and new lines. Finished in the original Glen Green, the body and paint on this Corvette are magnificent. At some point in its life, fender flares were added to this car. As a result, correct and brand new GM press molded quarters were installed on the car during the restoration process, correctly. The front clip is virgin and absolutely original. This Corvette was never involved in any collision of any kind and the body is as about as perfect as you will find.
