Description:

Extremely rare Delahaye 135 Competition, disappearing top convertible by famed streamlined coachbuilder Figoni-Falaschi of Paris. Original owner was a wealthy Parisian named Wolf, a personal friend of Joseph Figoni. This is likely the first of the streamlined series as it predates the Paris Auto Show. Wolf wanted a car that could be shown initially and subsequently raced. A photo exists of Wolf with car at Cannes France concours in 1936 as well as the car being raced by a famous race team at Rallye de Monte Carlo in 1949. Both engine and chassis are competition. All serial numbers on the car match original Figoni records. This car has won numerous Best of Show concours and CCCA awards. It is a CCCA Premier Winner, judged first place, 100 points. The car was featured by The Robb Report in 2006 and in two Club Delahaye France publications. Club Archivist André Vaucourt describes the car:
"This is one of the most elegant creations of Joseph Figoni and one of the most most important Delahaye cars."
