To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Chevrolet Big Block, GM Performance Parts has brought back a modern version of the ZL1 to relive muscle car history. This is a re-tooled version of the ZL1 aluminum block created with the same tooling that created the original legend in 1969. Only 427 commemorative engines - each one numbered and stamped - will be built before the tooling is retired forever. Every engine will come with an individually numbered Owner's Kit, which includes: custom presentation case. serialized metal Anniversary 427 Certificate of Authenticity, featuring forged Anniversary 427 emblem, two additional forged Anniversary 427 vehicle emblems, photo-etched and serialized Anniversary 427 underhood engine data plate, Anniversary 427 air cleaner decal and commemorative Anniversary 427 Big Block engine history document.
