This is one of the six 4.5 liter W.O. Bentley RC Series cars built by Knobby Clarke, the former manager of Bentley. The cars were built in 1936 after the Rolls Royce/Bentley merger. Clarke personally assembled the cars. The RC Series had the ultimate specs of the 4.5 liter models, as developed during 1925 to 1931. Heavier non-twisting frames, 6.5 liter differentials, high numerical ratio steering boxes, wrap around (double shoe) brakes, finned drums and flame arresting carburetors.
The Bentley Drivers Club recognizes these cars as authentic vintage Bentleys since all the parts were designed and manufactured befor 1930. Its registration number in the Benrley Register is EMF 115. There are only 4 of these cars remaining.
