1961 Chrysler 300G
This is the last year of the letter cars designed by Virgil Exner with fins. The letter cars were a sensation on and off the track, with its big V8 power this car was capable of over 150mph, pretty fast for the day. The car’s had very stunning styling with their large fins, canted lights, and large egg crate grille. The interior is like no other, with a dash board that even today is beautiful and easy to read. The 4 bucket seats gave the letter cars the sign of sportiness. When you open the hood the mass of the V8 with the cross-ram manifold holding twin 4bbl carburetors is impressive. It is easy to see how this massive car can accelerate so fast. This car is the recipient of a total ground up restoration and comes from a very prestigous California collection maintained to the highest standards. Only 1280 of these cars were built and it is estimated less than 10 percent had factory air conditioning like this example. Well equipped with the 413CID 375hp motor producing a whopping 485ft/lbs of torque, push button 3 speed automatic, power steering, power windows, power brakes, factory air conditioning, swivel seats, etc.
