1934 CHRYSLER AIRFLOW CU 2 DOOR COUPE

This is a type CU that is believed to be one of only 8 coupes that are complete cars in the US. The car includes many of the original books and records including the build sheet, body service manual May 1934, maintenance manual February 1934, instruction book January 1934, Chrysler parts list December 1934, pictures of the restoration. The car has been featured in many events such as Cover of Antique Automobile Club of America November 1983, the San Diego Automotive Museum 1995, National City Automotive Heritage Day 1997, it was on display at the Peterson Automotive Museum from August to November 2000, Prescott Antique Auto Club August 2001. All documents for these events included. The car was the basis for the Franklin Mint model in 1/24th scale. An original limited and rare model is included with documentation of this car. Car is equipped with an 8 cylinder engine and many features not available on any car of the era, such as power brakes, the grill called the waterfall was only used on the 1934. The first car that was designed in a wind tunnel which was first built by Orville Wright. The number of firsts for this car is amazing and include such things as First car to use unitized body, First car to seat rear passengers ahead of the axle instead of on top of it, First car to use chrome aircraft type seat frames, and over 50 other firsts.
