Model Tudor Hot Rod
VIN 899A2091410
Engine 331 CID
Cylinders 1953 Cadillac V8
Transmission Three Speed
Color Burgundy
Interior Color Gray

This 1948 Ford Tudor Sedan is finished in burgundy over gray cloth. It was mildly customized in 1959 when it received a 1953 Cadillac 331ci engine with a Carter 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust producing 210hp in exchange for the original flathead. It is mated to a 3-speed column-shifted transmission. This new set up now supports an added air conditioning system and 12-volt alternator charging system. Accessories include Cushion-Aire 4-ply 3” wide white walls tires measuring G78-15 with chrome baby moon caps and trim rings, windshield sun visor, front and rear seatbelts, fender skirts and rock guards, chrome bumper guards, dual exterior mirrors, FM radio tuner mounted under the dash with rear speakers, and Stewart Warner mini gauges to help monitor the engine and battery. The factory AM radio with tone adjustment, and the dash clock are still intact but currently inoperable. It does have all new brake cylinders and shoes, rebuilt water pump, new belt, and rebuilt air conditioning compressor!

This car spent most of its life in Arizona leaving with a very solid chassis and frame. Having been garage kept and last repainted in 1992, it continues to be very presentable today. This is the final model year Ford design before a new look came about in 1949. It offers a wonderful platform, air conditioning, and a powerful V8 for someone looking for a comfortable cruiser this summer! Please call with any questions!
