Paint guru Mitch Lanzinni painted the car, with airbrushed true fire by Mike Lavalle of Killer paint. It has a Boston acoustics custom sub enclosure and pillar mount high frequency tweeters, with a GPS 6 disc head unit. The Magnum was the subject of a 5-page article in "Mopar Collector's Guide" and is also featured in "The Cars of Overhaulin'" book documenting the entire Foose design from hand drawn paper rendition to full custom build, and most recently is the cover vehicle on the "Overhaulin' Series 3" DVD set. FOOSE DESIGN TERMINATES ALL LICENSING AND BUSINESS ACTIVITIES WITH UNIQUE PERFORMANCE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2007) - Foose Design announced today that effective immediately it has terminated all licensing and all business activities with Texas-based Unique Performance, Unique Performance Concepts and related companies. This termination includes the limited production of all vehicles formerly licensed to Unique including but not limited to, the Foose Mustang Stallion, Foose Camaro, Foose Challenger, Foose Motorcycle and the sales and marketing of the "Hemisfear", also known as the "Foose Coupe", manufactured by Metalcrafters. Foose Design has clearly stated that it no longer has any affiliation with Unique, and encourages customers to understand that Unique no longer has any rights to Foose intellectual property, the Foose name, image, likeness, logos or designs regarding any project.
Chip Foose, the winner of an unrivaled three "Ridler" Awards, and the Foose Design team have worked for more than eight months to resolve issues relative to Unique's problems but ultimately found it necessary to sever their relationship with Unique Performance.
Foose Design does not manufacture production vehicles rather it specializes in designing and fabricating custom built, one-of-a-kind custom cars. Foose Design created the concept for a prototype vehicle to be built under its license to Unique.
Chip Foose builds a special bond with every Foose vehicle owner and it causes him great stress to see this situation occur. Chip has worked tirelessly through the years to build his company, brand and image, which it works diligently to protect, both for itself and Chip's collectors and fans.
Foose Design is working with its legal staff to consider possible action against Unique Performance.

Chip Foose currently serves as the creative head and driving force behind Foose Design, the widely respected automotive and product development company headquartered in Huntington Beach, Calif., that specializes in illustration, graphics, ideation model making, surfacing and the complete construction of automobiles and automobile-related products. Today, Foose Design products and creative services are available to private individuals, television and film companies and automotive manufacturers.
Foose's legendary legacy of designs and accomplishments began at the age of seven when Chip began helping out his father's, Sam Foose a hot rod legend as well, at his project design firm. By age 12, he had painted his first car – a Porsche 356. A chance meeting with famed Tucker designer Alex Tremulus inspired Chip to attend the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, from which he graduated with honors in 1990.
In 1986 Chip worked as Staff Designer/Fabricator for Asha Corporation in Santa Barbara, CA., where he was named Director of Design in 1989. He was responsible for conceptualizing new designs and fabricating prototypes for a number of OEMs. Foose also worked at Stehrenberger Design as an automotive designer, creating color illustrations and conceptual models, and at Baker Sportronics, as chief designer and fabricator of models and prototypes of electric vehicles used by the NFL and NBL.
During the course of his work with his father at Project Design, Chip was instrumental in designing and building signature street rods, customs, studio vehicles and show cars for such films as Blade Runner, Robo Cop and Gone in 60 Seconds.
In November 1990, Chip began his association with designer Boyd Coddington at Hot Rods by Boyd, where he became a full-time employee in 1993, then Managing Director and finally the company's president. During his tenure at Hot Rod by Boyd, Chip was responsible for many internationally known vehicles including Roadster, Sportstar, the Boydster I and II and Boyd Air. In 1998, Chip left to form Foose Design with his wife, Lynne.
Chip's career includes numerous industry honors including being the youngest member ever inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame (at age 33) in 1997 and the first recipient of the Goodguys Trendsetter Award in 1998. The following year Chip won the prestigious "America's Most Beautiful Roadster" (AMBR) award with his design for Fred Warner's "Shock Wave," followed in 2000 by another win with Chuck Svato's "0032." To date, Chip has been involved with six AMBR-winning vehicles.
Throughout 2002, Chip's career continued accelerating. He won the coveted "Ridler" Award at Detroit's Autorama with Bob and Wes Rydell's ’35 "Grand Master" and he was inducted into the Darryl Starbird Rod & Custom Museum Hall of Fame. As the year ended, Chip and the Foose Design staff were featured on the Discovery Channel's "Rides" documentary that aired repeatedly on TLC in early 2003. The show featured many of Chip's award-winning vehicles and allowed viewers to watch him conceptualize and re-design a 2002 Ford Thunderbird called "Speedbird" that debuted at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show and received a "Best of Show" award from Ford Motor Company.
Chip was inducted into the Grand National Roadster Show Hall of Fame in 2003 and he received a second "Ridler" Award for Ron Whitesides '34 Mercury Stallion. Throughout his relatively short career, Chip also has received the Goodguys Street Rod of the Year Award an amazing total of seven times.
Today, Chip Foose and his Foose Design crew are starring in the popular new series Overhaulin' that airs on TLC.
