The Star Cars Museum, located in Gatlingurg, Tennessee is a fun place to go.
I was raised in Tennessee and have been going to Gatlinburg, Gateway to The Great Smokey Mountain National Park, for over 30 years. This small town is visited by millions of tourists from all over the world every year. The town's street are lined with tourist-oriented gift shop, fudge makers, thrill-rides, and restaurants. I had made an assumption that the Star Cars Museum was just another tourist trap.
I was wrong.
There are over 30 great cars to see, including quite a few by famed car designer, George Barris. All of the cars shown were actually used in the filming of many famous movies and TV shows or were owned by the likes of Elvis Presley, Bob Hope, and Frank Sinatra. For a few bucks you can escape the heat (or cold) and fantasize about going Back To The Future with Michael J. Fox or ride along with Burt Reynolds in his Pontiac Trans-Am from Smokey And The Bandit
