After the dramatic re-style seen on the 1959 models, Buick presented a bit more conservative look for 1960 with a fine toothed grille, quad headlights under furrowed-brow fender caps, and the power of the famous Nail-Head V8. What more could anyone ask for? How about an improved transmission as seen with the new Turbine-drive that was the next generation of the Dynaflow, one of several options on this Le Sabre. With a base price of $3,145, a total of 13,588 were produced, about a 30% increase over 1959's total. Finished in Cordovan Burgundy metallic with interior done in colorful red and white vinyl, it is equipped with Sonomatic AM radio, heater-defroster, and power steering and brakes. Showing just over 65,200 miles, it appears to have had at least one repaint and there are minimal signs or wear on interior items. During our inspection, we did not spot any signs of rust-out and all body panels seemed to line-up well. One of the most distinctive designs in the 100+ year history of this great marque, showing that when better cars were built, Buick built them.
