 1957 Buick Special Convertible (Sold) | 1957 Buick Special Convertible (Sold) 1957 Buick Special Convertible (Sold) In 1957 all Buick models were ambitiously restyled and fiited with a larger, more powerful engine. The series 40’s were wider and lower with a bright sweepspear. All model 46C convertibles were trimmed in a two tone style and included a drivers side mirror. The new engine was a 364 CID V8 rated at 250hp and 380 lbs of torque. Considered a 6 passenger convertible coupe, only 8,505 were built and sold at a cost of $2,987 when new. This particular example is beautifully restored and well equipped with the very rare option of factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power convertible top, variable pitch dynaflow transmission, full wheel covers, dual exhaust, and is finished in Seminole Red and white with a white top and red/white interior. This car was the pinnacle of Buick’s high style and luxury.
