In January 1930, Cadillac introduced its newest offering in an attempt to remain "The Standard of the World". To the delight of the purchasers of luxury automobiles, Cadillac debuted the first mass-produced 16-cylinder engine. Competitors would soon follow, but for 1930 Cadillac became the choice for those who could afford the latest in power and elegance.
