AUCTION RESULTS: Lot 110 - Sold at a price of $49,500

150 bhp, 346 cu. in. L-head V8 engine, Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission, independent front suspension with unequal-length A-arms and coil springs, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 129"

With a fresh body-on-frame restoration to factory-original specifications, performed by a Cadillac enthusiast with 50 years of experience, the example offered here is resplendent with its burgundy exterior finish, matching leather upholstery and matching carpeting. Desirable features include a radio as well as the Hydra-Lectric power-operated windows that were standard equipment on the Series 62 Convertible Coupe. During the restoration process, the current owner replaced the hydraulic cylinders for both the power-operated convertible top and windows, ensuring their reliable operation.

The Classic Car Club of America recognizes the Series 62 Cadillac models of 1940-1948 as Full Classics, and their excellent driving manners, performance and comfort make them very enjoyable touring cars today. Ready for showing or touring alike, this remarkable example will make a wonderful addition to any collection of the most significant and stylish postwar American automobiles.
