Beautiful does not adequately express the presence of this lovely 1949 Cadillac. The deep black exterior does a wonderful job of showing off the first postwar curves that Detroit gave its automobiles. The bumpers have been rechromed, and the rest of the brightwork appears to be well maintained and polished. The interior upholstery along with the dash and related components appear to be largely original with the exception of a new headliner. Options on this lovely vehicle include power windows, safety spotlight, day/night rearview mirror, radio, HydraMatic automatic transmission and front bumper guards. A peek in the trunk reveals a nicely restored and maintained compartment with nice lacquer paint under the lid. The engine compartment has been fully restored years ago and is showing its age but does not require any attention as the blue painted Cadillac script valve covers still jump out at the viewer. While this automobile is breathtaking just to behold, it is also more than capable of barreling down the road on its fat whitewalls and recent registration stickers show that the previous owner has enjoyed doing just that. This car will make a superb driver for its new owner and will be just as welcome and garner much attention on any show field.
