1966 Cadillac de Ville Convertible
$16,500
429 cid overhead valve V8 engine rated at 340 horsepower, three-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel power-assisted hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 129.5"
When it comes to luxury cars, Cadillac stands alone in the minds of many. Always a leader in style, comfort, and power, owning a Cadillac is a sign of financial and social affluence. Nothing said success better in 1966 than the de Ville convertible, with its refined elegance and long list of standard features.
Finished in its original Strathmore White, this example has the unique option of front bucket seats with a center console, plus all the comforts of a luxury car including power steering and brakes, power top, seats, windows, and antenna, plus air-conditioning and more. Showing a little over 88,400 miles on the odometer, our inspection tends to make us believe that those are from new. There appears to be some touch-up paint work on a professional level, and while the leather seating surfaces, also in white, were quite supple, they show some creasing, not surprising for a car of this age. Cadillacs for 1966 were a little more conservative in their exterior use of chrome and exaggerated body lines, but they were as luxurious as always, a feeling that the new owner of this car is sure to experience.
