Classic 1941 Chevy Cabriolet owned by Bob K. of California.

This car was purchased new in Inglewood, California in August, 1941 by Lloyd A. Knerr. He later served in World War II and was killed in action on the island of Iwo Jima, March 4, 1945. The car was kept in the family and was driven by his mother and younger brother (the present owner). In 1966, the cas was placed in storage for 27 years. In 1991 it was restored

There were only 15,296 Cabriolets produced in 1941 and they were priced at $949 list. The original Carson top was installed in Los Angeles in 1946 at a cost of $160.00. The top was restored in 1961 at a cost of $1,100. A 1954 235-cid engine and a 3.55 rear end were installed in 1992.
