This 53 Corvette was order by famous actor John Wayne. It was the 51st Corvette to come off of the assemble line. After receiving the car, Mr. Wayne discover that his 6-ft 4-inch frame could not quite fit into the new small sports car, so he later gave the car as a gift to a friend.
