The 1954 Chevrolet Corvette was little changed from the 1953. The customer could now order his new 54 Vette in Pennant Blue, Sportsman Red, and Black as well as Polo White, the only color in the sports car's first year.
Minor changes from the 1953 included a better window storage bag, air cleaners, starter, and location of the fuel and brake lines. The projected sales of 10,000 Corvettes fell way short of its goals with only 3,640 cars built and nearly one third of those went unsold by year's end.
Late in the model year , a new camshaft boosted horsepower to 155. Approximately 80% of the 1954 Corvettes were painted white and about 16% were painted blue.
