Corvette added new standard equipment for 2003 including foglamps, sport seats and dual-zone heating and air conditioning. Also new for 2003 was the Magnetic Selective Ride Control package; this industry-first semi-active suspension technology works to control wheel and body motion and integrates with the car's traction control system.

The 50th Anniversary Special Edition Corvette was unveiled on April 10, 2002, with the news that it would serve as the Official Pace Car of the 86th Indianapolis 500. This marked the fifth time a Corvette paced the historic race.

The package was available only during the 2003 model year on coupes and convertibles. It featured special 50th Anniversary Red exterior paint, specific badging. champagne-pained anniversary wheels and a Shale interior.
