This is the first year for the second generation Corvette and named Sting Ray because if its resemblance, from the rear, with the ocean animal. After 1963 GM bowed to critics and removed the split window for better visibility but the name remained. 21,513 1963 Corvettes were ever built and this is car 15401. 1963 only items are fiberglass head light buckets, complete stainless trim from windshield to wing window, fake grills in the hood and a color matching steering wheel. It is believed and agreed and understood that this car was optioned from the factory as an original Red on Red 327/250 horse power with a four speed.
