One of an estimated 300 Indianapolis 500 pace cars produced. Although all convertibles were considered pace cars the official car that paced on the track at Indy was the bright yellow convertible. A substantial price increase was due to some new features, among them were ABS II (anti-lock braking system) and VATS (vehicle anti-theft system). Careful weight paring made this the first sub 3,000 lb. Corvette in 20 years. the example offered here came out of a private Corvette collection and has only 26,401 original miles. It is powered by the original and numbers matching 350ci, 230hp engine and 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Special features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, tilt/tele steering wheel, 6-way power seat, power locks, Bose stereo system, rare Pace Car Yellow and graphite leather interior.
