The 1958 model year was one of the worst for most all of the American automotive industry. One of the hardest hit makes was Chrysler seeing as much as 60% of its 1957 production totals missing from 1958. Styling was effectively a carry-over from the dramatic new designs seen the previous season, with all models now employing quad-headlights, revised bright trim, and a freshening of interiors.
