It is kind of ironic that just when one of the best looking restyling of a post-war Chrysler was released, it would mark the end of the 300 "Letter Car" series. As more intermediate based muscle cars were being unleashed, the days of full-size performance models were numbered. This didn't mean that Chrysler was going to skimp with the appeal of the 300Ls. The 413 V8 with a Carter AFB four-barrel still provided plenty of punch, and the interior appointments continued to represent personal luxury for the driver and passengers.
