After having been given a major restyling in 1969, Chrysler applied a mild face-lift to their 1970 models with the effect coming off quite well. Considered the intermediate series for the marque, the 300s featured concealed headlights in the grille, sleek styling and well appointed interiors. It would also mark the last of the full-size convertibles from the line.
The last year you could order a full-size Chrysler convertible was to be 1970, and just 1,077 copies of the 300 series soft-tops were produced for this final performance. Having received a major remodel the previous season, there were only a few minor trim changes this year. Featuring a full-width front grille with hide-away headlights stationed behind, a minimum of trim on the sides and unique taillight treatment to the rear, these cars were an exclusive series.
