Chrysler's top-line series was the Imperial and for 1937 styling was similar to the lower-priced models except with a longer hood and cowl treatment so that the big in-line eight cylinder engine would be sure to fit. It is hard to believe that a luxury brand would offer a business coupe, but as America regained a strong economy, what better way to celebrate sales than with this symbol of success. With a base price of $1,030, just 1,075 copies of this model were produced. Coming to the Old Car Heaven Museum from California, this car features an older cosmetic restoration, and while the rich maroon paint is quite presentable there is some minor blemishing that could possibly be polished out. The interior is also well appointed with original steering wheel, a vintage radio, heater, and trimmed out in period style broadcloth fabrics. Under the hood is presentable, but as this car appears to have been exercised on a regular basis, a full detailing would be recommended before participating in a Concours event. A very rare opportunity indeed, this coupe is the height of fashion, 1937 style.
