One of the most distinctive looks in the automotive world for the 1941 model year were those offered by Chrysler, with this convertible representing the top-line New Yorker series. Art Deco styling was the theme of this car?s design, where streamlining was paramount. The dashboard really becomes a focal point with its symmetrical design featuring a large easy-to-read speedometer and matching clock, plus full instrumentation. This model had a base price of $1,548, which put it at the upper-end of the medium priced cars of the day. Fitted with AM radio, heater, and even a driver?s side spotlight, it was a well-appointed vehicle that bespoke of the success of its original owner. Finished in a deep rich burgundy, it has been treated to a cosmetic restoration and is reported to be in very good mechanical condition, able to be driven to area car shows or the local cruise-in.
