Model year 1950 was pivotal for Chrysler, even if most of the models, including Imperial, looked much like their 1949 counterparts; however, there were a number of advancements including improvements to operation of the Prestomatic Fluid-Drive transmission plus the latest innovation in safety, disc brakes, and on the prestigious Imperial, both improvements were considered standard equipment. This is one of 10,650 sedans produced that year and had a base price of $3,055. While this Imperial has been in storage for a numbers of years, our inspection showed it would need just a simple re-awakening to be ready for the road. Finished in Fog Green, a popular color of the day, there are no signs of accidents, rust-out, or other metal maladies. The interior is done in dark green leather bolsters with green stripe cloth and is equipped with factory heater-defroster and electric clock. With the odometer right at 3,500 miles, it is apparently on its second time around. There is no mistaking that this Imperial was aiming for the Cadillac market, and once brought back to its full glory, others will see the comparison too.
