1950 Chrysler Windsor C48 Convertible
$12,100
250 cid L-head in-line six-cylinder engine rated at 116 horsepower, three-speed Presto-Matic Fluid Drive transmission, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 125.5"
While 1949 saw the first new post-war designs for Chrysler, 1950 models featured a number of refinements that would win even more customers. As the economy strengthened, productivity was up, setting records at every turn, allowing more people than ever to go shopping for a new car. The Windsor line presented a full complement of models with the most expensive being the convertible priced at $2,741. Just 2,201 rolled off the assembly lines during this model year, one of which we are pleased to offer here. It is well equipped with factory deluxe radio, clock, and heater-defroster. What makes this car so interesting is that it appears to be a basically non-restored example. Close inspection indicates that it may have had an older repaint, but the interior looks to be quite original. Finished in black, and the contrasting interior done in red, really brings out the massive amounts of chrome used on the dashboard, sure to dazzle both drivers and passengers. Owning this car would be a sure invitation to hit the open highway in high style.
