Imperial for 1954 sported new styling up front and continuing comfort and elegance for those who drove or rode in this luxury car from Chrysler. With Hemi power under the hood backed up by the new Power-Flite fully automatic transmission, these were cars that announced "you have arrived" by their conservative, yet recognizable good looks. This example is finished in its original black with a harmonizing interior of blue pleated fabrics on the chair-height seats, fitted with fold-down arm rests for front and rear passengers. Also found on this example are power steering, and brakes, plus power operated windows, front seat, radio, heater, clock and even an under-dash tissue dispenser. Period after-market gauges have been added- encased in a color-keyed mount near the driver's position. So original is this car showing under 37,000 miles, that factory inspection stamps on the firewall are plainly visible and this luxury sedan is reported to be one of the best running cars from the Old Car Heaven collection.
