When it came to top-down elegance, few others could match the beauty of the New Yorker Deluxe, and no one else had a big Hemi V8 under the hood. Using the slogan of "Anything less is yesterday's car," no details of elegance were overlooked. This beautifully presented example is finished in Jet Black with an attractive red-white leather interior covered by a black soft top. With a base price of $3,938, they were in a pretty exclusive atmosphere at a time when the Windsor convertible was nearly $900 less. Just 724 of these cars were produced, and this one is equipped with radio, heater, clock, dual spotlights, power steering, and those outstanding chrome wire wheels. Showing just over 93,600 miles, this convertible is turn-key ready, able to hit the open road with a recent cosmetic restoration. We noticed a need for some detailing and very minor pitting on some chrome trim. Once you have seen this convertible you will see that it is about the most luxurious ride a person could have in 1954. Now 55 years later, it is still just as fresh and inviting.
