$33,000
394 cid Hemi V8 engine fitted with dual four-barrel carburetors rated at 355 horsepower, three-speed Torque-Flite push-button automatic transmission, four-wheel power-assisted hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 126.0"
After the successful record setting runs by the original Chrysler C300, it made sense to continue to build on what had already become America's most successful performance car. With the 1956 model year, a few tweaks were made boosting horsepower by nearly 20% when fitted with dual four-barrel carburetors. Other improvements included new 12-volt electrical systems and an improved Torque-Flite automatic transmission with push-buttons mounted in a pod to the left of the driver's position. This new performance king was the 300-B, the first true "letter car."
This sharp hardtop has been given a complete restoration finished in it original hue of Cloud White with tan leather interior, it is equipped with factory AM radio, self-winding clock, and an effective heater-defroster system. Also found on this example are power steering and brakes giving the driver swift-sure control in cornering or coming to a complete stop. With just 1,102 of these beauties built for the 1956 model year, they represented the most powerful full-size production car, not only in America, but the entire world. Ownership of this performance-minded coupe puts you into a class of your own; a top-rated class indeed.
