In an era when factory built custom bodied cars were almost a thing of the past, the new Crown Imperial line from the Chrysler Corporation sported one of the most handsome 8-passenger sedans ever. This example is a true survivor, showing just over 70,000 miles, it appears to have been professionally chauffeur-maintained prior to storage. A long list of appointments include factory radio, heater, and a ceiling-mounted clock above the rear-view mirror. The driver's seat is fitted with pleated leather in black while the back seat features its original Signet pattern broadcloth fabrics with the pull-out occasional seats done in a dark blue wool covering. Through the wide opening rear doors, you or your passengers will feel they are special as they gaze up to the beautifully styled dash board and take in all the craftsmanship that went into the design and construction of this most special car. One of just 45 produced for the model year with a base price of $6,973, it is no wonder these are rarely seen on the show circuit.
