Without a doubt, 1959 was the height of the "battle of the fins," and while Cadillac may have been the winner in sales, the Chrysler Corporation's Imperial line fielded a very impressive competitor, one that many feel really was the best in the luxury car field in terms of style, beauty, and performance. With a base price of $5,774, the list of standard equipment was extraordinary, power steering, brakes, seats, and windows; it was everything that any car owner could hope for. Just 555 of these imposing vehicles came off the assembly line and each one was a work of art. This is a very original, non-restored car that has been well preserved.
