Nathan Proch, Mattel Hot Wheels Director of Design, created this vehicle in the year 2000 as a tribute to the original Deora design by Harry Bentley Bradley. With an extreme cab-forward design, a traverse rear-mouted V8 Northstar engine, custom Foose 22-inch wheels, BF Goodrich tires, 2 carbon fiber surfboards, and a gull wing style entry door, Nathan's concept represents a futuristic look at a California Style purpose-built vehicle. Led by noted automotive designer/fabricator Chip Foose, with support by Mothers Polish, Inc., the vehicle was constructed by Troy Sumitomo and his staff at 5 Axis Prototypes in Lake Forest, California.
