The Great Race - Car Driven By Professor Fate

The Great Race - the car driven by Professor Fate in the 1965 movie, The Great Race, a comedy about a race from New York to Paris, starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, Peter Falk, and Natlie Wood.

This is the only car of the six made that moves up and down and can be driven forwards and backwards. The engine and transmission are industrial models built by Volkswagen which allow the car to be driven while moving up and down. The cost to build this car in 1965 was about $70,000.
