1934 Dodge K-34 1 -1/2 Ton Grain Truck
$5,060
218 cid L-head in-line six-cylinder engine rated at 70 horsepower, three-speed manual transmission, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 131"
Since 1917, Dodge Brothers had built a strong business on their commercial vehicle lines, with customers coming to depend on the ram-tough trucks. In 1934, the truck division of Dodge became a totally separate entity from the passenger car lines, and the move did nothing to diminish the reputation or dependability of the entire line of vehicles. For $685 FOB, a customer could order this ton and a half cab and chassis and then have fitted any body that would suit their needs. Considering its age and that commercial vehicles are rarely cared for with the same passion as a family's passenger car, this truck in is relatively good condition. There are no signs of stress cracks, major accident damage or any hint of body rust-out. During our inspection we did note that the right-door side glass is damaged and under the hood looked like it would need to go through a complete re-awakening process. Painted red with black fenders and black vinyl seats, the possibilities of this truck's future seems limitless. This a rare opportunity to get a part of America's trucking history.
