For Dodge, 1954 was a banner year. It marked their 40th Anniversary in the car world, and it was to be a Dodge that would pace the Indianapolis 500. It would also see some of the most attractive cars produced with the Coronet series providing the bread-and-butter of the make. Most popular that season was the four-door sedan. This solid example of the best selling Dodge for 1954 has all the right stuff and is basically an original car. Still wearing its original Lancaster Blue top over the Bermuda Blue body, there are no signs of rust-out or any major accidents. Chrome and bright trim are both in quite presentable condition for their age, and the interior, which looks to have been recovered probably in the 1960s, is well appointed. In addition to the Power-Flite fully automatic transmission, this car is fitted with a factory AM radio and the heater-defroster. In addition, this car has documentation showing that it came out of Texas to back up its rust-free heritage. Families depended on four-door sedans for everyday transportation; the new owner of this car can depend on admiring looks when it is brought back to its original splendor.
