Pickup trucks are not only for business, but they can also be stylish too, and with that in mind, Dodge applied Virgil Exner?s Forward Look to its light-duty line for 1957, and along with the new designs came a number of other improvements. While an entirely new truck body had been introduced in 1955, this major face-lift consisted primarily of restyling the front sheet metal. Most notable were the reshaped front fenders offering a canted forward profile that shielded the headlights. The biggest improvement was the switch to an alligator style opening hood making access to the engine bay a bit easier. Outside of some specific trim applications, the cab itself was pretty much left alone. This sharp pickup has been given a custom treatment finished in a two-tone scheme of dark burgundy and white with Von Dutch style pin-striping on the hood and cowl. Appleton Dummy spotlights have been mounted near the windshield pillars while the interior had been fitted with red and black velour and a custom stereo system.
