Don't let the austere appearance of this lowly two-door sedan fool you; it may just be the ultimate sleeper and an important part of MOPAR performance. Under the hood of this unassuming turquoise old Dodge sits what has been reported to be an original "D-500" 383 cubic-inch V8 engine fitted with the legendary twin long-ram intakes topped off by a pair of four-barrel Carter AFB carburetors. Behind this engine is a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. Showing just over 65,200 miles, from our brief inspection, this installation looked very sanitary and could quite possibly be from the factory. Regardless, it is very evident that this car was built for doing one thing, going fast, very fast. Stripped on all optional amenities such as radio, heater and even a cigarette lighter with all the proper blank-out plates in place, it looks like it is a real deal. We also found that this car has a vehicle identification tag/number issued by the state of Pennsylvania.
