$17,710
318 cid overhead valve V8 engine rated at 230 horsepower, three-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 116.0"
Totally restyled for 1962, Dart was now Dodge's intermediate series. Even before John DeLorean created his muscle-car sensation based on the mid-size Pontiac Le Mans, there were some mighty potent examples of this new Dart series for others to contend with. This convertible is finished in its original Vermillion Red with a Polar White inset on the sweeping chrome side-spear. With a matching red and white vinyl bench-seat and black top, this car presents an attractive picture of what it was like to cruise the local boulevard in style. It features a tight body, doors that open and close easily and body gaps at, or above factory standards. Fitted with power steering, push-button operated heater-defroster and radio, the top is also controlled with the flick of a switch. Showing some of the most flamboyant styling of the early 1960s, this is a car that is sure to appreciate as few still survive and more collectors are sure learn about the heritage of this attractive drop-top.
